About Zoltan Bernath
Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor
Zoltan is an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor with over a decade of clinical experience in the UK and internationally. He works with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, bereavement, life transitions and periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. At ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΙΘΑΚΗ centre, Zoltan currently offers psychotherapy online in both English and Hungarian, drawing on extensive experience of creating strong and effective therapeutic relationships in the online setting.
At the heart of Zoltan’s work is a flexible, individual approach to therapy. He integrates a wide range of therapeutic methods and interventions, adapting them to each client’s particular needs, goals and circumstances.
Zoltan holds an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in the UK and the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP). He is a Senior Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
His professional background includes, among other roles, working as a psychotherapist within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), providing counselling to NHS healthcare staff, several years of trauma-focused work with survivors of sexual abuse, bereavement and end-of-life counselling, school counselling, and international Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) work. This broad clinical experience enables him to support clients with both immediate concerns and more complex, longstanding difficulties.
